Local planning note: prices, operating times, weather-sensitive tours and visa conditions can change. Confirm the current condition before making a non-refundable booking.

Day 1 — Arrival, hotel and an easy Da Nang evening

After an international or connecting flight, avoid starting with a full-day attraction. Arrange airport-to-hotel transport, settle in and use the remaining time for My Khe Beach, a café, Dragon Bridge area or a relaxed dinner.

If your flight arrives late, do less. A rested group will enjoy the expensive attraction days more than a group that starts exhausted.

Day 2 — Ba Na Hills and Golden Bridge

Use a full day for the cable cars, Golden Bridge and mountain attractions. Starting with a clear plan for ticket and meal inclusions helps avoid confusion at the site.

The weather on the mountain can change quickly, so keep expectations flexible for visibility and photos. Return to Da Nang and keep the evening simple.

Day 3 — Choose Hoi An or Cham Island based on your travel style

Choose Hoi An if your group likes culture, food, lanterns and a slower afternoon/evening. Choose Cham Island if snorkeling and sea time are more important.

Trying to do both properly on the same day creates unnecessary transport. For a first four-day trip, one strong experience is better than two rushed ones.

Day 4 — Flexible city time before the airport

Use the departure day for activities with easy timing: café, shopping, massage or a short city stop. Keep a comfortable buffer before the flight and confirm luggage handling.

If your departure is early, remove the extra sightseeing completely and focus on a reliable airport transfer.

How to adapt this plan for families and couples

Families can make Day 3 Hoi An and reduce long walking. Couples can keep more sunset and evening time. Travellers who love water can use Cham Island and move Hoi An to another day if they have four nights instead of three.

Send your flight times and hotel to make the sequence realistic for your exact trip.

FAQ

Questions Indian travellers ask

Can I do Ba Na Hills and Hoi An in a 4-day Da Nang trip?

Yes. Put them on separate days or use Hoi An on an afternoon/evening day to keep the pace comfortable.

Can Cham Island fit into four days?

Yes if sea activities are a priority. Keep some flexibility because marine operations depend on weather and local authority approval.

Should I stay in Hoi An for one night?

It can be worthwhile if you want a slower Ancient Town experience, but a Da Nang base is simpler for a short first trip.

Is this itinerary suitable for children?

Yes after adjusting walking, meal and rest times to the children's ages.
